Lune Croissanterie - Melbourne's best

Looking for the best croissant in Melbourne? Well we think we have found it. Lune Croissanterie located in Fitzroy, the artsy and alternative heart of Melbourne, is making a name for itself, delivering some of the finest croissants money can buy. Even New York Times magazine seems to agree, suggesting 'is the world's best croissant made in Australia?'

Kate Reid originally started with a small joint in Elwood but expanded in 2016, to create a thriving business. In a spacious, converted warehouse, the best aspects of modern, minimalist design are in play with stand alone service counters, LED lighting (inspired by Star Wars) and a glass cube (where the pastry is prepared) standing in the middle. Apart from the unique layout and decor, is the real star of the show, the croissants. There is a variety of options to consider, ranging from your more traditional pastries such as a Pain au Chocolat to lemon curd filled cronuts. The pastry, on whatever style you choose, is delightfully light and buttery, with a delicate crisp exterior, making this a true foodie experience. With coffee also on offer Lune Croissanterie is a must try morning experience, they trade till all stock is sold so don’t leave your run too late!
